Most community events are led by Excel Fellow Leadership with budgets that are pre-approved in the annual work plan. A $15-20/person budget is standard, however other amounts are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
For events not run by Excel Leadership or Staff, please reach out to Adam Pukier and Naama Shaham for approval and budget at least a week prior to the event. $15-20/person is standard, however other amounts will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Note that generally, an event must have at least 5 Excelers in attendance to qualify for reimbursement. If you do not let us know of the proposed event in advance, we cannot guarantee reimbursement.
A few items to keep in mind when planning events:
1. Do you need staff support?
2. Do you need graphic design support?
3. Are you planning to partner with an external organization?
4. Are you planning to include Excel’s logo in the promotional material?
Please also send Naama any event blurbs/save the dates/registration forms for distribution in the weekly digest and FB group, and be sure to record attendance at each event.
